Adjunct Faculty CPB Virtual Instructor
This is a remote contract position
AAPC is seeking certified adjunct instructors to facilitate our CPB course for our instructional programs. At AAPC we help take our students from the start of their careers to the peak, by unlocking their potential. Our training and certification changes lives, opening doors for our members’ career advancement. The program guides students through the most difficult certification exam concepts while bolstering their medical terminology, pathophysiology, coding, billing, and all other healthcare business technical skills. The program also offers a hands-on lab practicum to reinforce concepts and prepare students for the workforce. Top applicants will be subject matter experts who are motivated, detail oriented, and have online teaching experience.
Job duties:
- Facilitate online curriculum through Black Board platform for core and specialty credentials
- Hold weekly office hours
- Monitor and measure student participation, attendance, and completion of assignments and assessments
- Record attendance
- Respond to student queries and provide relevant and timely feedback
- Adhere to all faculty policies and procedures
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to process improvement efforts
- AAPC Instructor credential (CPC-I) and the CPB credential
- Minimum 5 years healthcare business experience
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience (online experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
